Humane Society of Kawartha Lakes
The Humane Society of Kawartha Lakes does amazing work in our community. With funds from Kinsmen TV Bingo, we are proud to be able to support the much needed renovations to their medical room with a contribution of $50,000.00.
“We are deeply grateful to the Kinsmen Club of Lindsay for their continued generosity and unwavering commitment to animal welfare,” said Emily Harris, executive director of the Humane Society of Kawartha Lakes. “This donation will have a profound impact on the lives of countless animals and enable us to continue our work in making Kawartha Lakes a more compassionate community for both animals and people.”
Women’s Resources
We are proud to support Womens Resources with combined donations of $15,000 towards the installation of a new playground. This is an invaluable resource in our community and we are proud to do our part to help them achieve their goals.
Kawartha Lakes Food Source
The Summer Outreach Lunch Program was a great success again this year and we're proud to have helped this program distribute 600 lunchesto children in July and August 2024! Since 2018, we’ve partnered with local organizations to distribute free, healthy lunches to elementary-aged children throughout the summer months, when children are out of school and therefore lose access to school-run nutrition programs. The purpose of our program is to mitigate the stress for families that struggle with food insecurity by helping to feed children in need throughout the summer months.
